Healing belongs to believers. Sickness among believers points to ignorance of covenant rights. God is a covenant keeping God. His covenants stand across generations. Divine healing is an inheritance rooted in covenant, not chance or emotion. This foundation is established in Deut 7:9 and Ps 89:34–37.
The covenant of healing revealed
God entered into covenant with Israel, and healing formed a central part of that covenant. In Exod 15:26, God revealed Himself as Jehovah Rapha. Obedience to His voice guarantees exemption from sickness. Healing moves God’s people from affliction to health and from health to fullness of life. Exod 23:25–26 confirms removal of sickness and fulfillment of days. Deut 7:12–15 reinforces freedom from diseases and afflictions known among the nations.
Covenant responsibility and human duty
A covenant goes beyond agreement. God commits fully to His word. Man must respond with obedience. When covenant terms are ignored, oppression gains access. God remains faithful, but covenant benefits respond to obedience. Ignorance of responsibility weakens access to covenant promises.
The balm in Gilead issue
Jer 8:20–22 raises a serious concern. Healing provision exists, yet many remain afflicted. This reveals misalignment with covenant principles. Persistent affliction signals a deeper spiritual matter. God’s provision is constant. Human response determines manifestation.
Healing as God’s nature
Healing flows from who God is. It reflects His nature and character. God delights in the wellbeing of His people. 3 Jn 1:2 establishes health as part of divine prosperity. Healing addresses physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental conditions. Some afflictions demand spiritual intervention rather than medical attention.
Covenant power and divine integrity
God binds Himself by covenant oath. Num 23:19–23 confirms His words stand firm and irreversible. No enchantment or divination prevails against covenant people. Deliverance flows from covenant position, not human strength.
Gentiles included in the covenant
Covenant privileges extend beyond Israel. Strangers who aligned with God accessed covenant benefits as seen in Exod 12:48–49. Eph 2:11–15 confirms Gentiles now share covenant promises through Christ. Believers possess full access to healing rights through covenant inclusion.
The covenant sealed in Christ
Jesus sealed the covenant through His sacrifice. Gal 3:13–14 reveals redemption from the curse and access to Abraham’s blessing. Healing is part of this blessing. Deut 28 outlines blessings tied to obedience and consequences of rebellion. Deut 30:19–20 places responsibility on personal choice. Life flows from obedience.
The daughter of Abraham principle
Jesus healed a woman bound for eighteen years and identified her as a daughter of Abraham in Lk 13:10–17. Covenant identity authorized her freedom. Sons and daughters of Abraham possess legal rights to healing. Faith activates those rights.
Warnings against covenant violation
Violation of covenant principles attracts loss. Gen 34 and Gen 49:5–7 show misuse of covenant authority leads to judgment. Jer 34:17–21 warns against breaking covenant terms. Blessings respond to obedience. Disobedience invites consequences.
Length of days and covenant life
Obedience secures long life and peace. Deut 4:40, Deut 5:33, Deut 6:2, Deut 11:9, Deut 25:15 affirm longevity as covenant reward. Covenant living reflects God’s glory and attracts the nations.
Healing promised to those who fear God
Mal 4:2 declares healing as part of reverence for God. Jesus continues this ministry. Acts 10:38 confirms His pattern of healing all oppressed by the devil.
Call to faith and healing ministration
Faith and covenant alignment release healing. Jesus remains the Great Physician. Healing applies to physical organs, hidden afflictions, and spiritual oppression. No condition withstands covenant authority. Healing power flows in Jesus’ name.
